BIO

Saumya Kottage was born and educated in Sri Lanka. He began his surveying career in 2013 as a construction surveyor after completing his degree in Surveying Sciences. In 2014, he joined the Survey Department of Sri Lanka as a government surveyor, where he worked until 2022.

Saumya became a registered licensed surveyor in 2019 and practiced as such until his relocation to Australia.

During this time, he also earned a Master of Science in Geoinformatics in 2019.

In 2022, Saumya joined SMK Consultants in Australia. He is currently a Candidate Surveyor with the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI), New South Wales, working towards becoming a registered cadastral surveyor.
